There was only about 10 balusters left over.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We finished up putting the handrails today.\u00a0 I started putting up 2x6s but it just didn&#8217;t look right being the exact same width as the posts.\u00a0 So we went to the store and bought 2x8s instead.\u00a0 That had almost too much overhang though so I ended up ripping each down by about 1\/2&#8243; to get a better look for the overhang.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_224\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\".\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/handrailingdone1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-224\" class=\"wp-image-224 size-medium\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"https:\/\/junkwood.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/handrailingdone1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/junkwood.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/handrailingdone1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/junkwood.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/handrailingdone1.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-224\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Here&#8217;s the deck, cleaned up with the handrail on.
